and her teenage daughter had just escaped a domestic violence situation in Arkansas. Leaving everything behind, they faced an uncertain future—but Jane was determined to create a safe, stable life for her daughter.
A friend in the mental health field told Jane about Mercy Mall. When she walked through our doors, she found more than clothing and essentials. She found dignity. Even simple items—like car windshield wipers—helped them move forward during a time when every small step mattered. Despite all she’s endured, Jane’s resolve is unshakable. “I won’t stop,” she says. “With the adversities I’ve been through, I refuse to give up.” Her dream is not just to rebuild—but to give back. She wants to help others who feel lost, just as she once did. Today, she’s working on her first book, using her story to teach life skills and offer hope to those facing hard places.
Jane’s journey is still unfolding, but her legacy of resilience, purpose, and compassion is already taking root—for her family, and for generations to come.
