A: If you are able to sort your items, please label the bags or boxes you drop off. For example a bag that is mostly XL Women’s Clothing or Boys Jeans/Shorts/Tops, etc.
Q: Can I drop off donations anytime?
A: No, our donation hours are limited. Mercy Mall is a volunteer organization – If you wish to donate items from Laurie’s List (very good to excellent condition) but can’t get to us during our regular donation hours, please email us at email@example.com and provide details about your items.
Our decisions on what to accept as a donation is based on many factors like current and upcoming season, clientele requests, inventory of items, and upcoming events, etc.” When in doubt, please email firstname.lastname@example.org or submit a donation request and our staff will get back to you on what we can currently accept.
The families we serve are in crisis and our focus is on stocking and providing the most critical/practical items needed. Collecting those items takes up valuable space, time, and energy to maintain. We do host silent auctions and will consider accepting stylish and trendy items for the home, but please email email@example.com first.
The pandemic forced us to streamline processes in order to get the items to the floor as quickly as possible, with fewer volunteers. In the past, we were keeping about 40% and now we keep about 75% of what is dropped off. We are truly grateful for those willing to take the time.
Our receiving department is run by mostly volunteers. We recommend preparing your donations and asking someone else to drop them off for you or working with the coordinator to find a solution.
