Pregnant and alone, she made the brave choice to start over.
With no family nearby and no safe place to return to, she made the brave decision to walk away from a relationship marked by fear and hardship. When she left, she could only take what fit in a bag — but she carried something far greater with her: the courage to choose safety.
Starting over wasn’t easy. She was trying to care for herself, care for her dog, and prepare for her baby, all while unsure where she would sleep next or how she would afford the future ahead.
In the middle of uncertainty, she found a connection and support!
She arrived at Mercy Mall. Not for answers or quick fixes — but for basic necessities, compassion, dignity, and a reminder that she was not alone.
We met her in this “unpredictable” place, offering some warm clothing, some baby items, and more with a prayer of encouragement, care, and a safe space to breathe.
Her story isn’t over.
But hope has already begun to grow…thanks to you!
