Room for Change

Room for Change is a personalized healing program for children who have experienced trauma. Each situation and room change is unique. Support may range from providing essential items—such as beds, bedding, décor, and sound machines—to more extensive room transformations that create a safe, calming environment. Families are referred through our trusted partner, The Davis Child Advocacy Center. After a referral is made, the parent or guardian completes a brief form, and a Mercy Mall volunteer liaison reaches out to gather additional details and provide support.Most importantly, the child is empowered to help design their own space—choosing colors, themes, and elements that make them feel safe and at ease. This restored sense of choice and control helps reduce trauma triggers and promotes healing after unimaginable experiences.
