Student Support
The Closet by Mercy Mall
When children lack appropriate clothing or shoes, it can affect their confidence, comfort, and ability to focus at school. The Closet by Mercy Mall is a school-based support program that provides students with essential clothing and footwear—discreetly and with dignity. In partnership with local schools, counselors and resource coordinators refer students who are experiencing hardship.
Mercy Mall supplies new and gently used clothing, shoes, and under- and outer garments through an on-campus “closet,” allowing students to receive support quickly and confidentially. Each student also receives a flyer with Mercy Mall’s contact information. As trust is built between the school and the family, caregivers may be connected to Mercy Mall’s Client Care Team for additional assistance. This creates a bridge to broader support—such as home essentials for families who are rehoming or navigating deeper needs—so care can extend beyond the classroom and into the home.
Our School Partnerships
The Closet by Mercy Mall operates in partnership with school districts across several counties in our region, providing discreet, on-campus access to clothing and shoes for students who are experiencing hardship.
