Three months ago, Beth’s life changed in an instant. Awaking from an afternoon nap, she was confused by the sound of an alarm and the smell of smoke. Stepping outside to investigate, she saw flames raging in the attic. Within minutes, her family’s home was gone.
Despite being insured, Beth’s family has yet to receive any assistance for their immediate needs or rebuilding costs. For two and a half months, they’ve relied on the kindness of friends and family. Now in a rental, they’re still navigating huge challenges.
